You are invited! The Bridge is once again partnering with Hope Missionary Church in Bluffton to provide a PROM for our friends with special needs ages 14 and up. This community-wide event takes place at Hope Missionary on Saturday, April 6.
The Bridge of Hope Gala is an amazing event for guests and volunteers alike! There are so many activities to participate in that it’s hard to fit them all in. Guests are treated like royalty and can sign up to have their hair and nails done, get their shoes shined, take a ride in a limo, and more! They will receive a corsage or boutonniere, be partnered up with their Buddy for the day, have their photo taken, be crowned King or Queen of the Prom, walk the red carpet, enjoy a delicious meal, and dance the night away! Activities include a variety of games, crafts, karaoke, a movie, and more. There’s a sensory room available for those who get overwhelmed or just need to take a break.
Parents and Care Givers can sign up for the Respite Room where they get to enjoy a meal and watch the festivities on a big screen. They also have the option to sign up to be their child’s Buddy if they prefer to stay close to them.
Volunteers are needed to participate as Buddies, decorators, set up and tear down teams, parking lot attendants, registration, coat check, food service, red carpet cheerleaders, stage attendants, game room, craft room, karaoke leaders, sensory room, Respite area, and much, much more!
Registration is now open for guests and volunteers.
