Helene tore a deadly path through the mountains of western North Carolina, dumping extreme rainfall and causing catastrophic flash flooding. We are sending a team of volunteers to work along side Plain Compassion Crisis Response in Spruce Pine & Black Mountain, North Carolina October 20-25th.
Volunteers will be the hands & feet of Jesus assisting in flood cleanup (tree work, debris cleanup, mud outs, etc.) & distributing incoming supplies to the local population. This work trip requires volunteers to be in good physical condition, and able to work in a demanding environment.
The cost of the trip is $65 per person, which includes transportation, fuel, food during the week, shower trailer, & toilet trailer.
Please bring the following: tent & sleeping bag/air mattress, pillow & blankets, work clothes, and money for travel meals and/or snacks.
